iServe-Home
My daughter and I just started attending the Massillon Campus of RiverTree a couple of weeks ago. Today the sermon was about serving others; especially starting with members of our family.
We went home after the service and I made breakfast for everyone. My daughter took the breakfast up to her dad and I took breakfast to my mom who lives with us. Later in the evening, I made dinner and usually I just call everyone down and we all dig in. Tonight, I fixed my husband’s plate and took it to him. He was beaming and asked what was the occasion getting served twice in one day. I got my chance to tell him about the sermon at church and about serving others.
I have been praying that one day my husband will accept the Lord Jesus into his heart and start to come to church with me and our daughter. I don’t nag my husband about going to church so this was a gentle way to tell him why I was acting differently, acting better.
Thanks for the great sermon as always.
